    Impressive GLA

Very nice co2 regulator. Echoing many sentiments here much better quality than all the rest.

GLA Co2 regulator is the best.

Why did I say that? Because I just threw away my co2art regulator and Fzone regulator in the garbage. And this is after holding onto them thinking they would remedy themselves. I was extremely frustrated so I reached out to GLA. If your on the fence as to what to buy, email GLA. They have every brand completely broken down internally. The GLA regulator has always been the superior co2 regulator. Thats because they have been in the co2 business longer than anybody else. They know why these cheap regulators are such crap, and they build the opposite of that. Use your god given brain, why is that crappy regulator so cheap, and why do people buy it? They buy those cheap alternatives because they are cheap, cheaply made and shiny on the outside. Like taking a piece of dog shit and making it look pretty for the sale. Go with GLA, there is no comparison.

GLA is the best co2 regulator.

Having several, and tried many more in the past I can confirm GLA knows there shit. Better made, full sized, and flow like none of the other brands I wont name them in the reviews because it looks like everybody already did that. You know who they are. Lastly, I also use a GLA regulator on a DIY laser engraving system we are developing. Its perfect, the critical aspect is being able to control the rate of flow with very fine finesse. This GLA regulator does that for us. Dont settle for less go with GLA. Buy once.

This is the best aquarium co2 regulator.

I do say this with absolute confidence. I own quite a few co2 regulators and none of them compare to the level of GLA's build. Its a bigger regulator and has a much finer adjustment compared to my others. I will say this though, all the others I have from fzone to Ultums Nature Systems those are all 100% the exact same regulator with a very crappy needle valve. Everything on the GLA build is much nicer just by touching it and using it. Ita a big difference.

    Best quality available

Top notch build quality—even a step above the closest competitor. Would recommend above any other regulator I’ve ever used.

  • 5

    Wow!

Ive heard the rumors about GLA co2 systems for decades. GLA was always at the top of the price for me so I could never afford a real high end regulator. But now I have! Its premium through and through and now I see what the fuss is about. There is no substitute for GLA, they are the best in co2 systems.

    Buy the best from GLA.

If you shop on Amazon you will see all the same garbage. Cheap generic junk that you will be lucky last a year. I made this mistake twice, never again. GLA may be a little more investment, but you will see why right away when you receive this. You 100% can not compare GLA to any Amazon junk, or Co2art lol. Because those are the two pieces of crap I had prior.

    Green Leaf Aquariums Review.

I would consider myself a veteran aquarist(Im 57 years old). I have a box of non-functional co2 regulators I would love to share within this review. The GLA system is a well designed co2 system. The needle valve block in this is so much nicer than any of my old regulators. I always thought needle valves should have better control when adjusting and this valve does it like nothing I have ever used except one valve I hold dear to my heart. Thats my Ideal Metering Valve. This valve was also used by GLA many years ago and I think thats what gave birth to this valve. They clearly know what we are looking for from a valve. GLA killed it with this deign. I should mention, GLA is a bigger more full sized regulator than the cheap crap out there. Gives you that warm fuzzy feeling you actually invested in profesional equipment vs the latter.

GLA co2 regulators are superior to all the others.

This is a no shit review. I have all the other regulators you can possibly buy and this is my first GLA regulator. Its nicer than anything co2art has or Fzone builds and to be frank both of those are exactly the same so Im not even sure what kind of garbage that is. GLA's valve is just better, more precise, smoother and simply looks 100X better. The regulator body is also much much larger so maybe that has something to do with it. I buy a lot of motocross parts my whole life so I feel confident I know what quality feels like, and GLA has that going. I learned this stupid way by buying cheap and thinking another cheap regulator will fix it, lol no! GLA DS regulator fixed these issues with an incredible build and kudos to these guys for doing that. If your new to co2 dont be fooled by Co2 art and Fzone because those are some real poser model regulators that ultimately feel like toys next to this DS regulator. Unbelievable, go GLA!

  • 5

The the best co2 regulator you will find 100%.

After several months of use I can attest to the GLA quality, and its superb. I have a Co2art,Ap.com and a few other regulators. There is no question whatsoever GLA stands apart from the rest. The regulator is far more precise in every day function. Somethign worth noting, GLA regulator is much larger than Co2Art,Fzone.Dupla and AP.com. The GLA DS-1 resembles a true lab grade dual stage co2 regulator and I find great comfort in this. Their customers should know this type of stuff. The competitors are all seemingly the same crap, GLA clearly is not and quite honestly Im not sure what it is people like about this cheap stuff, because its been a pain in the ass with constant fiddling. WIth GLA I dont ever touch any setting util refill time. There is something to be said about the better quality of GLA.

  • 5

GLA is the best no question.

So much goodness, fantastic quality much better than Aquarium Co-Op co2 regulator. Pretty sure that goes for the rest considering they are all the same in that toy category of co2. GLA is premium co2 systems.

GLA is where its at no doubt.

Everybody in my local club was right about GLA being the best. Love the function of the GLA valve system I can attest to its superiority to co2art and fzone. In my opinion because I have those two is they are precisely the same. The GLA regulator is leaps and bounds these low budget brands. You can tell right away just holding them. GLA is a real co2 regulator, these other two are like pop metal toys you win at a carnival. I dont know how else to explain this, GLA is a superior brand, that is all.

This is my pride and joy, finally!

GLA co2 regulators are truly the best. I have a few of the competing brands, but what everybody says about the GLA regulator is true. Much better flow control, finer resolution and the option to not use the bubble counter, which I had to have because my limited space. That was my fault because I measure incorrectly for my cabinet builder. GLA co2, when you hold a GLA regulator in one hand, and my fzone and co2art in the other, it weighs more than both the competitors combined. The GLA regulator is like having two regulators built into one. Whereas when you look at my co2art and fzone(which are the same) they are very tiny and I assume the internals are also very tiny. The GLA build is the opposite, its big and girthy so clearly a lot is going on inside. Anyways it feels substantial, like its meant for business. I will keep my old ones for paper weights lol

    Very happy customer

Was excited to receive this from UPS last week. Very fast shipping and packed like people who cared about it. I liked the available installation manual and video, it was very easy. The hardest part was learning what co2 flow rate to use. Using the needle valve GLA uses it was effortless. I dialed in my bubble rate as instructed by GLA, increasing BPS once a day until I reached about 3 BPS. The drop checker turned green after about 3 days, more like 2.5 days. GLA was very helpful and straightforward and had a convenient text by phone chat support. I didnt need them but wanted to get some assured support for my shortcomings. Thank you to Marco at GLA who helped me presale and after. My family is really enjoying out aquascape. Lets hope I can keep it this way for a long time to come. At minimum I know this co2 regulator will last me forever. All my other aquarium equipment looks so crappy now lol.

    Superior co2 system.

Far superior to my Co2art regulator. I don’t understand why people like that brand because it’s my professional opinion it’s absolute toy garbage. Sorry to be blunt but that’s what it worked like. After 4 months of it barely working it officially stopped working completely, so I took it apart completely to see what it was made of. Keep reading. That co2 art regulator had a valve seat made of plastic. Against the plastic was the pilot valve made of aluminum. This explained why my bubble rate would change when the temperature changed in my room. Especially since winter hit. I ordered this DS regulator in late March. For shits n giggles GLA sold me a valve to dissect at a discount. I was pleasantly surprised, full metal on metal valve seats. This explains why GLA’s flow curve is so much better. Finer resolution with flow and general response. I’m an old fart with 41 years of engineering at Lockheed. GLA did due diligence, and them being pioneers of the manifold system it pays off knowing they know what they are doing. And not just blindly replicating an original with cheap toy components.

GLA Pro DS-1 is the best in the aquarium hobby.

You get a lot what others are not giving you in a regulator here. This regulator is dual stage and is full sized. Not like the small dinky competitors, who all look the same. Understand this my good people, GLA is the pioneer of the manifold system. If its not GLA, its a cereal box knock off. Think about it, do you want a $50-$89 regulator handling your 900-1,000PSI cylinder gas? Exactly, I dont think so my good people. EMail GLA, ask questions, I did and they show and tell you everything teaching you along the way. I learn so much from GLA for so long, such great people. You can email them and they help right away. What do I like best? I like that this regulator is full sized, its large. This needle valve is like my old style GLA from 13 years ago using an Ideal metering valve. They were able to reverse engineer the flow characteristics in the Ideal valve and copy it to his valve. The flow ratio is spot on. I think what GLA should do next is install metering numerical on the know so you have a reference to look at. That would be icing on an awesome cake my good people. Ok enough, now Im hungry for cake my wife is going to be upset. Thank you for reading this, GLA is good people and the equipment they make is always the best. Peace be the journey my good people.

GLA is the best in aquarium co2 systems.

My fish-room is forever expanding and this is my 3rd co2 regulator from GLA. All my others are still pumping out co2. I like GLA co2 regulators the best because the built integrity is just better. The needle valve is easier to use and I have never had a single problem. GLA for life!

    Loving it!

I do! I love this co2 regulator because its been like a cure for whats been ailing me. My tank is much more balanced and I believe that to be because my co2 is functioning properly now. I use a ph controller to graph my ph daily and I can access this data on my phone 24/7. My co2 is not all over the place like it was prior. My old co2 had this weird thing where the high pressure gauge was constantly bouncing around. My bubble rate would change everytime the pressure would go down, my low pressure would go up causing my co2 bubble rate to increase all by itself. It was difficult to pinpoint that but I can now see the GLA DS is incredibly steady. I can see this by looking at my Apex controller app. I feel GLA is the way to go. Ive tried many regulators overt the years and now I feel I have one thats going to last.

    Super nice upgrade for me.

I wanted to upgrade my co2 system for my new house and I decided to go GLA. Now I see what everybody was referring to, very cool build construction as it seems to be much much larger than my old regulator. This looks on par with our lab regulators at UCLA in terms of its design. This regulator sits behind a wall where my tank is on the other side so I run longer than average co2 tubing. It has no trouble feeding my 150g tank and I plan to add a couple extra manifolds to feed my two new aquascapes on the way. Love this gem.

    My new favorite co2 system.

Long story short I came to GLA after many recommendations. Im a member in my local Betta fish club and several others have been using GLA regulators for decades apparently. I had no idea GLA had been around that long. Although I always new of GLA since I can remember. I have cheap co2 regulators for the last 3 years and they keep finding there way into my trash bin and my husband was about to destroy me. He bought me this and even he noticed a huge difference in quality of the construction. GLA is really the real Co2 gang to go with.
