Sales Tax

As required by law, applicable sales tax will be collected on orders shipped to destinations where Green Leaf Aquariums, LLC has a tax obligation.

  • Orders shipped within the state of Florida are subject to Florida state and local sales tax.
  • Tax rates are calculated automatically at checkout based on the shipping address.
  • Customers are responsible for any additional state, local, or use taxes required by their jurisdiction.

Shipping, Order Processing & Tracking

Shipping Charges

Shipping costs are calculated in real-time at checkout using our shipping calculator.

  • Add items to your cart and click “Estimate Shipping” to preview rates.
  • Final shipping options and delivery speeds are displayed at checkout based on your address.
  • If a promotional offer includes “Free Shipping,” the actual outbound shipping cost may still be deducted from any return or refund.

Order Processing

We process and ship orders quickly to minimize delivery time.

  • Orders typically ship same or next business day.
  • Processing times may be extended during peak periods, holidays, or high order volume.
  • Orders are not shipped on weekends or carrier holidays.

Order Cancellation:

  • Orders may be canceled prior to shipment by contacting us as soon as possible.
  • Once an order has been shipped or tracking information has been issued, the order is no longer eligible for cancellation.
  • Orders that have already shipped must follow our return process and policies where applicable.

Order Verification

GLA reserves the right to:

  • Hold or cancel orders suspected of fraud.
  • Request address or identity verification prior to shipment.
  • Cancel orders at our discretion if verification requirements are not met.

Tracking Information

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking details.

  • Please check spam/junk folders if you do not see the tracking email.
  • Contact us if you need assistance verifying your shipment or email address.

Important Shipping Notes

Signature Confirmation

Orders $250+ or at GLA discretion may require a signature upon delivery.

Customers who would like to add a signature requirement to any order may contact us after placing the order. A $7 signature service fee will be invoiced prior to shipment.

UPS My Choice Customer Responsibility

If your shipment is delivered via UPS My Choice, please note:

  • Any delivery changes, signature waivers, or release authorizations made through UPS My Choice are done at the customer’s sole risk.
  • By authorizing delivery without a signature, the customer assumes full responsibility and liability for the package once delivered.
  • GLA is not responsible for lost, stolen, or missing packages when delivery instructions are modified through this service.

Apartments & Multi-Unit Residences

Customers shipping to apartments, condos, or shared-access buildings assume responsibility for delivery once the carrier marks the package as delivered.

  • This includes deliveries left at leasing offices, mailrooms, lockers, or outside unit doors.
  • GLA is not responsible for lost or stolen packages in multi-unit or unsecured delivery locations.

Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for entering a correct and complete shipping address at checkout.

  • Address corrections after shipment may incur a $25 carrier intercept or correction fee.
  • We are not responsible for delays or losses due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.

Delivered Packages

Once a package is marked as delivered by the carrier, responsibility transfers to the recipient.

  • GLA is not responsible for lost or stolen packages after confirmed delivery.
  • Customers should contact the carrier directly for delivery disputes or theft claims.

Carrier Delays

Delivery estimates are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed. GLA is not responsible for transit delays once a shipment has been handed off to the carrier.


Shipping Destination Coverage & International Duties

Worldwide Shipping

We proudly ship worldwide from the United States.

  • If shipping rates are not displayed at checkout, please contact us for a custom shipping quote.
  • Some items may be restricted from international shipment due to carrier or regulatory limitations.

International Orders – Duties, Taxes & Tariffs

International shipments may be subject to import duties, tariffs, taxes including VAT, and brokerage fees imposed by the destination country.

  • All import-related charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.
  • These fees are not included in your order total or shipping cost.
  • GLA does not collect, estimate, or pay these charges on your behalf.
  • Charges may vary widely depending on your country’s laws and customs valuation.

By placing an international order, the customer agrees to accept full responsibility for all import duties, tariffs, taxes, and fees required to receive the shipment.

Customs Delays, Holds & Refused Shipments

GLA is not responsible for delays, holds, or delivery issues caused by customs authorities.

  • If a shipment is refused, unclaimed, or abandoned due to unpaid duties/taxes:
    • The order is not eligible for a full refund.
    • Any refund issued will be less all shipping costs, return shipping if applicable, and any carrier or customs fees incurred.
  • If the shipment is not returned to us in recoverable condition, no refund will be issued.

Import Restrictions & Product Limitations

Customers are responsible for ensuring that ordered items comply with their country’s import regulations.

  • GLA is not responsible for items that are:
    • Seized, restricted, or rejected by customs.
    • Delayed due to regulatory review.
  • No refunds or replacements will be issued for shipments affected by import restrictions.

Fertilizer Shipping Restriction

GLA Dry & Liquid Fertilizers do not ship outside of the USA due to import/export regulations.

  • International orders containing fertilizers will be automatically canceled and refunded prior to shipment.

UK VAT Notice

GLA is not registered to collect or remit UK VAT.

  • Under UK VAT regulations, orders below approximately £135 / $180 USD may be subject to different import handling procedures.
  • Orders below this threshold may be delayed, returned, or abandoned by customs.
  • GLA is not responsible for these outcomes.
  • No refunds or replacements will be issued for orders affected by UK import/VAT handling issues outside of our control.

Shipment Error, Damage, or Defective Claims

To ensure prompt resolution, all order-related issues must be reported within the timeframes below. Claims submitted outside of these windows may be denied.

Order Errors

If you receive an incorrect or incomplete order:

  • Contact us at info@greenleafaquariums.com within 12 hours of delivery.
  • Include your order number and a clear description of the issue.
  • Photo verification may be required.

We will review the issue and provide a resolution as quickly as possible.

Shipment Damage

If your order arrives damaged in transit:

  • Contact us within 12 hours of delivery.
  • Include clear photos of the product, packaging, and shipping box.
  • Retain all packaging materials for carrier inspection or claim processing.

Failure to provide photos or retain packaging may result in denial of the claim.

Carrier Claims & Shipping Insurance

  • Once a package has been shipped, delivery is handled by the carrier.
  • Customers must cooperate with any carrier investigation, including providing photos and retaining packaging.
  • Failure to cooperate may result in denial of claim.
  • Claims are subject to carrier approval and timelines.

Defective Products

If you believe your product is defective:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery.
  • Provide a description of the issue.
  • Provide photos and/or video demonstrating the problem.
  • Troubleshooting may be required prior to approval of replacement or repair.

Approved claims will be resolved at our discretion via replacement, repair, or store credit.

Exclusions & Limitations

The following are not covered under damage or defect claims:

  • Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or modification.
  • Normal wear and tear or cosmetic imperfections.
  • Issues resulting from failure to follow product instructions or guidelines.

GLA reserves the right to inspect, verify, and determine claim validity prior to issuing any resolution.


Exchange & Return Policy

Return Authorization Required

All exchanges and returns require prior approval.

  • Requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
  • Contact info@greenleafaquariums.com with your order number and reason for return.
  • Approved returns will be issued a Return Authorization (RA) number.
  • RA numbers are valid for 30 days from issuance.

Returns sent without an approved RA may be refused or discarded.

Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an item:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery.
  • Exchanges are subject to product availability.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the exchange is due to an error on our part.

Return Conditions

To qualify for a refund, items must meet all of the following:

  • Unused, uninstalled, and in original condition.
  • Returned with all original packaging, components, and accessories.
  • Free from damage, wear, or signs of use.
  • Suitable for resale as new.

Important:

  • Orders are not eligible for cancellation once they have shipped or once tracking information has been issued.
  • Requests to cancel an order after shipment will not be honored and must follow the return process, if eligible.
  • Refused deliveries or attempted cancellations after shipment may be subject to return shipping charges, original shipping costs, and applicable restocking fees.

GLA reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions or that show signs of attempted use or installation.

Returns that do not meet these conditions may be denied or subject to partial refund at our discretion.

If the shipment is not returned to us in recoverable condition, no refund will be issued.

Fees, Deductions & Refunds

  • Returns may incur a 10%–20% restocking fee based on inspection and condition.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Orders that qualified for “Free Shipping” will have the actual outbound shipping cost deducted from the refund.
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs and insurance.
  • Refunds are issued only after the item is received and inspected.
  • GLA is not responsible for return shipments that are lost in transit.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund under any circumstances:

  • CO2 regulators and CO2 systems.
  • CO2 reactors and pressurized components.
  • Fertilizers, dry or liquid.
  • Used, installed, or altered items.
  • Special order or custom items.
  • Clearance or sale items.

Refused Shipments & Unauthorized Returns

  • Packages that are refused or returned to sender without authorization are subject to:
    • Outbound shipping costs.
    • Return shipping charges.
    • Applicable restocking fees.
  • If a return shipment is lost due to lack of insurance or damaged due to improper packaging, the customer is responsible and the return may be denied or partially refunded.

Limited Lifetime Warranty – GLA CO2 Regulators

GLA CO2 Regulators are backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

  • Warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.
  • Product must be used and installed in accordance with GLA guidelines and standard industry practices.

What Is Covered

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.
  • Mechanical or functional failures under normal, proper use.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or neglect.
  • Use of improper tools, fittings, or excessive force.
  • Modifications, alterations, or unauthorized repairs.
  • Cosmetic wear, normal use, or external damage.
  • Damage caused by contamination, corrosion, or improper gas supply.

Important: Improper installation is the most common cause of regulator issues.

  • Regulators should only be tightened to the CO2 cylinder using appropriate tools and technique.
  • Damage resulting from incorrect installation methods, including overtightening or misuse of tools, is not covered.

Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a warranty claim:

  • Contact us at info@greenleafaquariums.com.
  • Provide proof of purchase.
  • Provide clear photos of the product.
  • Provide a description of the issue.

Troubleshooting may be required prior to approval of a warranty claim.

Resolution

Approved warranty claims will be resolved at GLA’s discretion through:

  • Repair.
  • Replacement.
  • Store credit.

If the issue is determined to be outside of warranty coverage, repair services may be available for a fee.

Additional Terms

  • GLA reserves the right to inspect and verify all warranty claims.
  • Customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with warranty service, unless otherwise stated.
  • Warranty does not cover consequential or incidental damages.

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve any issues before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

  • Filing a chargeback without prior contact may delay resolution.
  • All orders include verified tracking, delivery confirmation, and order records, which are provided to payment processors during disputes.
  • Submitting a dispute for an order that has been delivered and not returned may result in denial of the claim by the payment provider.
  • Orders that are delivered and not returned in accordance with our Return Policy may be considered ineligible for refund, and supporting documentation will be provided to the payment processor.

GLA reserves the right to deny future service or warranty support in cases of abusive or fraudulent chargeback activity.

By accessing this website and placing an order with Green Leaf Aquariums, LLC, you acknowledge and agree to all applicable policies, including but not limited to our Terms of Use and Shipping, Returns & Warranty Policy.

  • Certain items are non-returnable, including but not limited to CO2 systems, regulators, and fertilizers
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable and may be deducted from returns, including orders that qualified for “Free Shipping”
  • Responsibility for shipments generally transfers to the customer once the carrier marks the package as delivered

If a shipment is delayed, lost, or misdelivered, we will assist you in working with the shipping carrier to help initiate a claim or investigation where applicable. Resolution of such claims is subject to the carrier’s policies and determination.
