Description

EDDHA Chelated Iron (Fe 6%) Aquarium Fertilizer – 0.5lb Jar

EDDHA Chelated Iron Fertilizer for Aquarium Plants
0.5lb/Jar

Provides EDDHA chelated Iron (Fe) to aquarium plants.
Best suited for aquariums with hard water or high pH, where other iron chelates are less stable.

EDDHA delivers strong chelation across a broad pH range, making it ideal for tanks with elevated alkalinity. Formulated with 5.2% ortho-ortho isomer [o-o], this iron source remains available to plants even in more challenging water conditions.

Iron supports chlorophyll production, metabolism, nutrient uptake, and healthy plant growth.

Deficiency Symptoms: pale or yellow new growth, interveinal chlorosis, weak stems, poor plant development.

Guaranteed Analysis:
Iron (Fe) – 6%
    6% EDDHA Chelated Iron
    5.2% ortho-ortho EDDHA [o-o]

Derived From: Iron EDDHA
Ethylenediamine-N,N′-bis(2-hydroxy-phenylacetic acid) ferric-sodium complex (CAS 16455-61-1)

Responsible Use & Important Notes

EDDHA Chelated Iron (Fe 6%) is a highly stable iron source intended for targeted freshwater aquarium plant supplementation. Due to its strong chelation, EDDHA iron may temporarily discolor aquarium water (reddish or tea-colored hue), particularly at higher doses. This effect is cosmetic and typically diminishes with dilution, water changes, and plant uptake.

Because of its potency, EDDHA iron should be used sparingly and only when appropriate, such as in high-pH systems or where other iron chelates are ineffective. Users are strongly advised to research proper application and dosing before use.

For safe and accurate dosing, always use a precision scale capable of milligram measurements (0.001g resolution or better) for weighing the dry chelates and preparing dosing stock solutions. Overdosing may result in excessive iron levels or increased/prolonged water discoloration. This product is intended for experienced aquarists who understand nutrient management and trace element supplementation.
