High-Dose Nutrient System for Planted Aquariums Using the EI Dosing Method
The GLA Estimative Index (EI) Aquarium Fertilizer Package provides a complete dry nutrient set for advanced aquascapers following the EI fertilization method. This system delivers all essential macronutrients (N, P, K, Mg) and micronutrients (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, B, Mo) in analytically pure forms—ideal for aquariums with high light, CO₂ injection, and dense plant growth.
EI dosing involves alternating daily doses of macro and micro nutrients over six days, followed by a 50% water change to reset nutrient levels. No test kits are required for water column nutrients—just maintain stable CO₂ at ~30 ppm using a drop checker.

High quality aquarium fertilizer.
Switched from Niloc bags because those bags were just crap. The potasium at GLA is also much higher quality. Also GLA GH Booster is the best I have used, including Seachem. The GLA stuff is just super nice and fluffy. This EI kit will grow plants like crazy so get your scissors ready.

Really good deal.
Good deal on this kit. My tank is large so I have to dose EI I have no other options. Liquid dosing would be stupid expensive so I use this. This is my 4th kit from GLA and its always perfect.

Super happy!
Very happy with my new EI bags kit. This is a refill from my previous kit from a year ago although I was dosing PPS at that time. My tank is a fast growing duct tank and I use T5HO lights from TEK so its super high PAR and I felt it was time to start EI dosing. Its been a banger improvement. I do perform very large water changes on Sunday with this EI system and I feel it works better for my system than PPS. My plant load is massive and thick so I need a little extra of everything. The bags are very nice, they stand up and make it easy to dose daily without trouble. Love these bags!

Worth every penny.
I dont know why folks buy that liquid stuff. You can make gallons of liquid fertilizer with this alone. Use that fertilizer calculator and your set to go. If you cant use a calculator thats fill in the blank this product is not for you. If you want t grow plants to maximum ability on the cheap, this is for you.

Great planted aquarium fertilizer system.
Ive never used this type of fertilizer before. I always used liquid but felt my tank was always lacking so I gave this a try. I noticed improvement in only 3 days time. Dosing is easy and quite fun. My plants are much more happy and that makes me happy:)

As always, gla is rock solid. I have used these in the past with good success. Next Time though, I think I’ll spring for the jars instead of the packets.
